The Freedom Brand Dog Proof Raccoon Trap

EASY TO SET:
- Squeeze the spring and simply move your index finger a short distance to push the dog down and the trap is set.

TRIGGER DESIGN:
- Will fire when the trigger is pulled up.

STAKING:
- You can push the stake into the ground where soil conditions permit just like with any brand of dog proof raccoon trap.

NOTE: The Dog Proof Setter does not fit/work the best on this trap.

These are American made. Ive used them for years. Easy to set. I use my pond catfish food for bait. Put a little of your favorite coon lure licorice on top of the trap and spray your set down with scent killer. They cant keep their paws out of it.

Both the FB-1s and the FB-2s preformed well for me. I personally prefer the FB-1s as they are more convenient to set, but, again, they both allowed me to put coon on the boards. I have them rigged with six feet of chain and a Freedom Brand Sabertooth Drag with Freedom Brand Dog-proof Bracket welded on the drag thank you Clint Locklear to make them a scary fast speed tool for harvesting coon. A solid, American made product!

Works very well holds the racoon. Easy to set would like the chain to have about a foot more length but the chain on these traps is enough. I only buy USA made traps.

I bought a dozen of these in the fall of 2013 and was very excited to use them. They take a lot of tweaking and tinkering so they fire. Once you have the trap set for the proper sensitivity, and it fires, it automatically goes back into the wrong tension and will not fire on the reset unless you tweak it again. I am not real happy with the random tension changes that happen from the action of the trap firing each time. It is however a very sturdy make of a trap with a great stake.

I have multiple types of dog proof traps and this trap is hands down my favorite. Sets quickly and easily. The trigger has just the right amount of pull very sensitive.
